Technology is rapidly changing in the arts, from animation to AI the applications of technology are endless in the field.
Technology is a tool that can be underutilized in the classroom; my goal is to become as up to date as possible on the future and ethics of technology in the classroom
Miro
Unlimited Whiteboard
Miro is a website that is incredible accessible. Not only does it feature a user friendly interface, the team incorporates feedback with an accessibility program to push this site further and further with each update. Miro is also free for educators and students, general users getting up to three free boards. Miro is an unlimited whiteboard space with templates like concept maps, calendars, and note taking, the possibilities are well- endless.
In the classroom I find Miro to be an incredible research tool. Here students can quickly document a plethora of visual imagery, write quick or long notes to unpack their ideas. Upload images seamlessly through the app interface. Keep track of sketches, ideas, process images, and final documentations, all in one space. The best part of using this technology is that the open ended platform allows students to navigate their ideas in their own way. They can share exactly how their brain best functions. I utilize this program as often as feasible.
